White Rabbit turns 7 on the 25th of April! We want to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing customers for getting us this far! We really appreciate you all, and we love to make you all beautiful natural skincare products that work to give you confidence in your skin! So, we thought we would take a trip down memory lane to remember where White Rabbit started and how far we have come.
Melanie – our founder – started White Rabbit Skincare from her very own kitchen. Melanie was diagnosed with psoriasis in 2014 and after researching treatments for the condition found out that your skin absorbs a considerable amount of what you put onto it into your blood stream. The majority of products she found contained irritants and synthetic ingredients – definitely products you do not want to go into your blood stream. And so, White Rabbit Skincare was born! Melanie wanted to create natural skincare products that can be trusted and actually did good for your skin. White Rabbit Skincare is also based in Ayrshire, Scotland and everything we make is completely made from hand by our highly skilled team, which is still the case 7 years on!
The first products Melanie created were the cleansing balm which was originally known as the comfort cleansing balm, the lip balm and rosehip and camellia day cream. Of course, these are still White Rabbit Skincare favourites and are still part of our 13 core products!
The original logo of White Rabbit Skincare has changed dramatically over the years alongside our packaging. White Rabbit Skincare aims to be eventually completely plastic free but right now we are at about 99%, our packaging is made from bamboo and aluminium. We believe that you can still have amazing skincare whilst protecting the planet, so as well as completely vegan skincare products, 99% plastic free products, we also use 100% recycled packages that are printed on with plant-based ink to get your products to you. Our packaging peanuts are also 100% biodegradable and can be used as a composter or thrown into the regular bin without causing any contamination. White Rabbit Skincare went through a rebrand in October 2019 and this is when the logo that we have now was created. The brands colours were slightly changed, and the website was updated.
We are stocked by 12 retailers across the UK in Scotland, Ireland and England and 1 in Italy! We are also stocked by 34 online retailers! This is huge considering White Rabbit Skincare was created from Melanie’s kitchen. White Rabbit Skincare has also been certified from numerous bodies including Vegan, cruelty free international, PETA, Orangutan Alliance, Made in Britain and Naturewatch Foundation.
