Back to Basics - White Rabbit Skin Care

Back to Basics

Hello!

It’s the first Thursday of the month which means the beginning of our new monthly blog. I thought to begin with it would be nice to just recap who we are and what we’re doing.

It can be easy to assume that people just know about your business. And it’s nice to take a step back to basics sometimes.

White Rabbit began because of Melanie's struggle with psoriasis at the age of 18. She didn’t want to use steroids so she took matters into her own hands. It started with experimenting and educating to make skincare for herself, then friends and family. It was April 2014 that White Rabbit was born, as a side to her full-time job. After balancing both for over 3 years, it was October 2017 the full plunge was taken. What we have now is 12 years in the making.

September 2017 saw WR’s first employee arrive. Lucy, a recent marketing graduate, took the reins of Marketing & Business Development until January 2018. It was then in April 2018 that I came along; WR’s second employee. I’m AJ, I help out with all things customer related.

Still based in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, we’ve recently moved to a bigger unit where all the products are still manufactured by hand, packaged by hand and posted, yip you guessed it, by hand. All our products always have been and always will be 100% vegan and cruelty-free. They harness plant power to provide you with luxury skincare, that not only works but doesn’t have any nasties in it. We’re not hiding anything here.

We are currently 94% plastic free with most of our packing in aluminum and/or glass. We use airless recycled plastic pumps for some sized products but are working towards finding an alternative. We don’t use any plastic packaging and our packing peanuts are 100% biodegradable.

As it stands we have 39 stockists and work every day to provide people with award-winning skincare that works, doesn’t contribute to animal exploitation, and reduces our impact on the environment. Ethics are a big part of WR and we will never compromise on that.

We’re so glad you could join us on this journey.

Please feel free to get in touch with any questions or queries, speak soon!
