Avocado Face Masks

Love avocados? Try out these simple, natural face masks!

 

Avocados have great benefits for your general health but can also help improve your skin. The natural oils within an avocado can soak deep into the skin, helping to hydrate, soften and cleanse.

Recipe 1 – Green Goodness

Treat your skin to an abundance of goodness with health-giving fresh fruit, honey and olive oil. A lovely moisturising and nourishing face mask to pamper your skin when it needs some good old TLC.

 

Ingredients

½ an over-ripe banana

¼ an over-ripe avocado

1 teaspoon of honey

1 teaspoon extra virgin oil

 

Instructions

Mash the banana and avocado with a fork or hand blender. Add the honey and olive oil, then mix to a smooth paste.

Apply to a cleansed face and leave for 15 minutes, before washing off with lukewarm water.

Can be kept in the fridge for up to one or two days.

 

Recipe 2 – The A Team

Avocado and Aloe are both highly moisturising and nourishing super foods. This power combo effectively restores mature, dehydrating or sun-damaged skin. It can also help relieve eczema or psoriasis.

 

Ingredients

½ an over-ripe avocado

1 teaspoon aloe gel or juice

 

Instructions

Mash the avocado with a fork and mix in the aloe vera.

Apply to a cleansed face, leave for 15 minutes then wash off with warm water and moisturise.

Can be kept in the fridge for up to one or two days.
