The Skincare Mistakes I Wish I'd Never Made - White Rabbit Skin Care

The Skincare Mistakes I Wish I'd Never Made

Even before starting my company White Rabbit Skincare, I was very involved in skincare and made my fair share of mistakes along the way.

Especially as someone who struggles with psoriasis, making mistakes like this can have devastating effects on your skin’s health, so I thought I’d talk about some of the errors I wish I'd never made so that you can learn from my mistakes and avoid making them yourself:

Over-Exfoliating

Exfoliating is a great way to remove dead skin cells and improve the appearance of your skin. However, it's important not to over-exfoliate, as this can irritate your skin and disrupt its natural barrier function. Aim to exfoliate no more than two to three times a week.

If you’re looking for a good exfoliator that’s gentle on skin, try our Eucalyptus & Lavender Cleansing Balm.

Using Harsh Cleansers

Some cleansers can be too harsh for the skin, stripping it of its natural oils and causing dryness and irritation. Choose a gentle cleanser that is formulated for your skin type, or one that’s generally good for skin such as our Lime & Coconut Cleansing Water.

Not Moisturising Enough

Moisturising is essential for all skin types, even oily skin. Moisturising helps to keep the skin hydrated and protected.

We at White Rabbit have a range of moisturisers, including products that are designed to be gentle to even sensitive skin like our Rosehip and Camellia Day Cream. If you prefer to moisturise before bed, maybe our Rose & Orange Rejuvenating Night Cream is for you!

Skincare Inconsistency

The best way to see results from your skincare routine is to be consistent with it: if you have a good routine that you do daily, it’s much more likely that you’ll get the best out of the products that you’re using.

I hope this list of skincare mistakes helps you to avoid making the same mistakes I have over the years.

Remember: everyone's skin is different, so what works for one person may not work for another. Experiment with different products and routines to find what works best for you, and most importantly, treat your skin with love!
